Tanzania Port Authority (TPA) has ordered two mobile harbour cranes from Italgru for the port of Dar es Salaam.
With a maximum lifting capacity of 125 tonnes, the IMHC2120E electric models will be delivered to the port later in February.
The two cranes departed the port of Marghera in Italy onboard a BBC Chartering vessel. Once commissioned in Dar Es Salaam, they will be used to handle containers and heavy goods.
BBC Chartering said that its fifth Lakermax newbuild multipurpose vessel, BBC Santiago, successfully passed sea trials last week.
