Steel processing company voestalpine Roll Forming Corporation (RFC) will expand its operations at Ports of Indiana-Jeffersonville.
The expansion by voestalpine RFC includes a new production line for frame rails for several major global customers, involving USD77.9 million in construction, equipment and other related services.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) will commit up to USD2 million in incentive-based tax credits and up to USD2 million in Hoosier Business Investment tax credits to the scheme.
“The company’s continued growth and industry partnership in Southern Indiana will help advance critical industries, from aerospace to energy to infrastructure and transportation, while supporting job growth and community development in Jeffersonville and the surrounding region,” said IEDC chief strategy officer Ann Lathrop.
Earlier this year, Ports of Indiana boosted its engineering and accounting resources at three locations – Mount Vernon, Indianapolis and Burns Harbor – with three appointments.
