July 17 - Two 50,000 dwt semi-submersible heavy lift vessels have been delivered from Yantai CIMC Raffles Shipyard to United Faith Group and Zhenhua Heavy Industries.
HLPFI believes that both of the 216 m long vessels, which have been named Red Zed I and Red Zed II, will subsequently be chartered out to ZPMC-Red Box Energy Services.
HLPFI reported on March 4 that ZPMC-Red Box had bareboat chartered the two ships that were originally ordered by United Faith from CIMC Raffles in 2011.
At that time founder of ZPMC-Red Box, Philip Adkins, said that the ships would be deployed under a second contract the company had signed regarding the transport of modules for the Yamal LNG project.
ZPMC-Red Box also ordered two further PC-3 module carriers from Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) in 2014, both of which are scheduled to enter service in January 2016 and will also be used in the transport of modules for the Yamal LNG project located on Russia's Yamal Peninsula.
