August 26 - In response to a request from Woojin Global Logistics, Russian Railways Logistics (RZDL) has established a partnership with the Chelyabinsk pipe rolling plant.
Working with TransContainer, RZDL is now providing a regular transport service to deliver imported polyethylene, which is required for packaging, from ports in northwest Russia and the Russian Far East.
RZDL provides end-to-end delivery from the port of St Petersburg to Chelyabinsk by synchronising the periods when locomotives layovered and crews changed, and also increased the transit speed of container trains.
