February 4 - Nurminen Logistics has delivered specially-coated paper machine rolls, ranging in weight from 7 to 80 tonnes, to Finland, Russia and Germany using its bespoke heated transport fleet.
Using this fleet, items sensitive to the cold weather can be transported at temperatures of 0 to -20 degrees Celsius, irrespective of outside temperature.
The fleet, which is suitable for heavy loads, includes heated trailers and containers, as well as Europe's largest and most modern heated transport container, which can transport loads weighing up to 120 tonnes on a modular platform, says Nurminen.
Differing from the standard fleet, Nurminen explained that cargo can be loaded from the top, rear or the side of the transport unit.
Nurminen Logistics is a member of the Cargo Equipment Experts (CEE) network in Finland.
