April 27 - Mammoet has transported and installed engines and generators for the Saint Louis power station in the capital of Mauritius, Port Louis, on behalf of BWSC, a turnkey developer and operator of power plants.
The Mauritius Central Electricity Board (CEB) is in the process of upgrading the Saint Louis power station, and contracted BWSC to undertake the refurbishment of components of the plant.
Mammoet's scope of work included the transport of 290-tonne engines and 67-tonne generators from the port of Port Louis to the power plant. The equipment was then installed by Mammoet through jacking and sliding.
The work on the plant is expected to be completed by September 2017.
