BARRA SNM has installed a Liebherr LHM420 mobile crane at Dock 6 of its terminals in the port of Dunkerque, France.
This multipurpose crane with a maximum capacity of 125 tonnes will allow the company to develop its breakbulk and heavy lifting activities, as well as small agricultural and industrial bulk handling.
The port of Dunkerque added that the crane will also improve the environmental footprint of port operations with reduced energy consumption. There is the possibility to operate the unit on bio-fuels and, in the long term, potentially switch to all-electric systems.
