Catherine James, founder and ceo of Dixie Cullen Interests (DCI), will step away from her day-to-day activities in February 2025.
All day-to-day operational responsibilities will pass to Todd Ruden, who joined DCI in September 2023 as the company’s president. James will maintain a significant ownership position in Dixie Cullen and assume the role of chairman of the board.
“After much reflection and working side by side with Todd for the last 18 months, it became apparent to me that this team under Todd’s capable leadership is ready for this. I have complete confidence in Todd and the team and expect the extraordinary service we have always strived to provide to our customers will continue without interruption,” said James. Her last day in the office will be February 28, 2025.
James initiated a strategic plan two years ago to ensure the continuity of the company’s culture, customer-centric values, and remarkable growth trajectory. The first phase of this plan involved partnering with Briarwood Partners (BWP). The company said this partnership provided resources around financial structuring, organisational development, and the realisation of Catherine’s long-term vision, which includes her eventual retirement.
Dixie Cullen is an industrial heavy-lift warehouse operator situated in and around Port Houston. It currently operates over 1 million sq ft of warehouse space across six warehouses and an additional 20 acres of outdoor storage capacity.
