November 11 - Volga-Dnepr Airlines has flown an 88-tonne jaw crusher for the gold mining industry across Russia from St Petersburg's Pulkovo Airport to Sokol Airport in Magadan on board one of its AN-124-100 freighters.
The jaw crusher - which was delivered alongside other associated equipment and tools - will be used for primary ore crushing during the gold mining process in the Magadan region of Russia.
Volga-Dnepr loaded the cargo using the AN-124's on board loading system, which it said removed the need for additional costs related to hiring in specialised lifting equipment.
The airline's technical department also prepared recommendations for the customer on the positioning of the consignment on the trailer that delivered it to the St Petersburg airport.
