April 20 - Capewest Logistics has celebrated the first anniversary of its Ivory Coast office with its biggest project cargo operation to date.
In partnership with Senator International, the company managed the Customs clearance, lifting, transfer and loading of 884 casing pipes weighing 359 tonnes, which were shipped on a BOCS breakbulk vessel, destined for Antwerp.
Capewest says that the current port congestion in the Port of Abidjan presented several challenges. It mobilised a fleet of eight semi-trailers to ensure that all the cargo was loaded at the storage yard and transferred to the commercial port in less than 12 hours.
Capewest Logistics is an independent and privately owned company headquartered in Switzerland, providing an integrated range of ships agency, logistics and consultancy services in West Africa.
