The port of Grangemouth in Scotland has taken delivery of five Kalmar straddle carriers as part of a multi-million-pound investment in its terminal equipment.
The ESC 440 diesel-electric straddle carriers were manufactured in the port of Gdynia, Poland and shipped to the UK on the general cargo vessel Taiga Desgagnes.
The units will be put into operation at the port’s container terminal in March.
