At the end of September, Bergé Maritime received a Liebherr LHM 550 crane as part of a plan to upgrade the port of Tarragona, Spain.
The crane was delivered at the port of Tarragona’s Aragon dock, with representatives from both Bergé and Liebherr present at the delivery – including the former’s ceo, Pedro García Navarro.
The LHM 550 has a reach of 54 m, a maximum load capacity of 144 tonnes. It also possesses mechanical insulation measures which reduces noise pollution, as well as the LiDAT smart app maintenance program, which provides real-time insight on equipment status and optics.
An identical model was delivered to the port of Bilbao in September 2024.
