Germany’s Rostock Port has received a grant worth approximately EUR5.4 million (USD6.24 million) for the construction of the heavy-duty berth 15, which will be able to accommodate heavier loads.
In addition to the quay, a heavy-duty rail track will be built for the sea-side handling of heavy project cargoes, said Rostock.
Rostock Ports said that by improving its terminal infrastructure it hopes to increase the chances of winning heavy project load handling contracts.
