September 30 - Panalpina has opened in Jaipur, India and says that its new branch office is expected to play an important role in the company's global growth strategy.

"Panalpina has a very ambitious growth strategy for India and we plan to expand our services by listening to our customers. In our annual Customer Satisfaction Survey 2011, Jaipur was nominated by a majority of our customers as a preferred location where they wanted Panalpina to have its own office. The newly opened branch in north India is one of many more to come", says Rene Wernli, managing director, Panalpina India.

The Jaipur branch has been opened to meet increased customer demands and to strengthen Panalpina's position in India. The city is being developed as a multi-product Special Economic Zone (SEZ) .
