May 30 - Globalink Logistics Group - a member for the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) representing Kazakhstan - has shipped a 50-tonne separator from the country capital Kyzyl Orda to Zheskasgan.
Kazakhstan's oil and gas sector plays a key role in the country's economic development - with this shipment set for use in the Aryskum oil field. The heavy unit was loaded and lashed on to four low bed extendible trailers. Poor road conditions and rough terrain made the going slow, but Globalink managed to deliver the separator and related accessories on time (pictured).
Globalink's Tajikistan's branch has also been busy transporting a crawler crane from Dushanbe to Alashankou, China.
The 700-tonne crane was initially brought to Dushanbe to install the world's tallest flagpole, measuring 164.9 m high.
Globalink was responsible for the handling and transport of the crane back to China, and its projects team quickly decided that the optimal solution was to move the shipment by rail. The Globalink team dismantled and crated the crane, secured all the necessary export documentation and ensured the shipment was loaded onto the rail wagons on time.
