September 4 - GeoSea has completed the acquisition of A2SEA, following approval of the international competition authorities.
GeoSea, which is owned by Belgium-based DEME Group, signed the agreement with A2SEA's former owners DONG Energy and Siemens International Holding in July, 2017, as HLPFI reported here.
The activities of A2SEA, which specialises in offshore wind turbine installations, represent a strong and complementary fit with GeoSea's operations, the company said in a statement.
A2SEA recently completed the installation of turbines on Burbo Bank Extension and is currently installing turbines at the Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm and Race Bank Offshore Wind Farm. Upcoming projects include turbine installation on Arkona OWF, Hornsea Project One, Horns Rev 3 and East Anglia ONE.
