September 4 - Third party logistics (3PL) company C.H. Robinson has acquired Canadian freight forwarder Milgram & Company for approximately CAD62 million (USD50 million).
Milgram, which has six offices in Canada and one office in the USA, provides freight forwarding, Customs brokerage and surface transportation to approximately 3,500 active customers, and is C.H. Robinson's third global forwarding acquisition in the past five years.
John Wiehoff, chairman and ceo of C.H. Robinson, said: "Milgram provides another unique opportunity to strengthen our global forwarding and Customs brokerage offerings in Canada."
C.H. Robinson will integrate Milgram into its global forwarding division, which currently serves five continents and 31 countries with 125 offices worldwide.
