December 20 - Istanbul-headquartered Project Cargo & Yacht Transport recently handled the loading and unloading of yachts at ports in Turkey.
A 13 m x 5.59 m x 6.42 m catamaran weighing 17 tonnes was safely unloaded at the Port of Diliskelesi, Istanbul. A second 23.5 tonne, 18.3 m x 5.5 m x 4.7 m vessel weighing 23.5 tonnes was successfully loaded at the Port of Derince, headed for Doha.
Both projects were safely completed despite wet and windy conditions.
Elsewhere, Southampton, UK-based Peters & May completed the loading of three Princess motor yachts onto the CMA CGM Marco Polo - the world's largest container vessel.
Peters & May was also responsible for loading a Lagoon 460 sailing catamaran and a Beneteau Sense 55 yacht when CMA CGM Marco Polo called at Le Havre port, France.
The three Princess power yachts are destined for Jebel Ali, UAE whilst the French sailing yachts will be carried onward to Hong Kong.
