March 22 - XLProjects (XLP) network representative in Israel, Jacky Line, has completed the transport of ammunition for the Dutch defence ministry to Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv.
Jacky Line transported the equipment from a remote location in Israel to the airport using five specialised trailers, accompanied by police and army escorts. The company also arranged Customs clearance and liaised with the airport authorities.
Meanwhile fellow XLP members, International Freight Transport and HBH Logistics worked together to coordinate shipment of oversize equipment for a beer brewery from Germany to New York.
Specialised trucks were required to handle the transport of the heavy and oversize units to the final site, where cranes were employed to install the equipment.
Over in Malaysia, XLP member Xin Hwa Trading & Transport has been busy with a number of complex project moves, including the relocation of a 150-tonne unit within a factory using a 6x6 axle trailer.
The Malaysian forwarder was also tasked with delivering a 70-tonne stacker from a yard in Petaling Jaya to Perodua Rawang in Serendah, Selangor; as well as the transport of cable reel parts from a factory in Tanjung Langsat to the nearby port for loading onto a breakbulk vessel.
A final project saw Xin Hwa move a 60-tonne skid, measuring 10 m x 4 m x 4.5 m from a factory in Tuas to Pasir Gudang in Johor.
