March 16 - XLProjects (XLP) members have completed several project cargo shipments.
Belarus-based Dealextrans has delivered two units of 110KVA power transformers, weighing 64 tons (59 tonnes) each, from China to Grodno, Belarus.
The cargo was transported by trucks to the Russian border rail station, where it travelled by rail to Grodno city cargo station before being transported 10 km to the project site by trucks.
Meanwhile, RBS Logistics has completed a pipeline project for Saipem, transporting the cargo via Poti, Georgia to Azerbaijan.
Freight Traders Ltd (FTL), XLP member in New Zealand, has partnered with fellow member, Flogis International Korea, to transport 12,000 cu m of project cargo from South Korea to the USA.
The consignment, weighing 3,697 tonnes, was handled by Flogis International in South Korea, with all cargoes delivered over three charter shipments.
Vietnam Global Transport (VGT) has completed the Bid Son Cement Plant project in the Thanh Hoa province in Vietnam.
VGT was responsible for arranging suitable equipment and barges for receiving the cargo at Ha Long anchorage point, and discharging and transporting the cargo from a nearby jetty to the job site. The total shipment volume measured 3,000 cu m and included a grinding table of 95 tons (86.2 tonnes) and a gearbox weighing 110 tons (99.8 tonnes).
Origin Logistics, XLP member in Turkey, has completed the coordination and handling of two project cargo shipments.
One shipment was completed on behalf of the Vietnamese Fire Station Department, transporting two fire trucks to Vietnam. The other project involved the transhipment of cement factory components from Turkey to Chile.
Origin Logistics was responsible for the lashing, securing, loading and transferring to the vessel for both projects.
Fridenson Air & Ocean has transported 1,000 cu m of project cargo from Haifa port, Israel to Hilo, Hawaii.
The cargo was transported by container and ro-ro vessels to Hawaii, where the shipment was transported by truck to its final destination.
