March 17 - Members attending the Worldwide Project Consortium's (WWPC) 15th annual membership conference, which will be held in Fuengirola, Spain from May 13-15, will be supporting the Infania Organisation in a charity auction.
Infania is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) involved in promoting and standing up for children's rights in Andalusia, Spain. In 1998 the organisation was authorised by the Andalusia government to improve fostering in Malaga, and from then on, the foster care of disadvantaged children in the community has been one of the charity's strongest commitments.
"We are happy to continue the good cause to support children in need wherever our conferences are held in the world," said WWPC director Wolfgang Karau. "Having visited Infania in Malaga, we are convinced that we have identified an outstanding regional organisation to receive our group's support."
Last year, the WWPC raised a record USD31,000 for the Hanseatic School for Life during the charity auction at its annual conference in Phuket, Thailand.
