January 29 - LS International Cargo GmbH, is project managing the logistics involved in the delivery of 70,000 tonnes of machinery from Germany, China and Brazil to Hainan in China.
The machinery is destined for the Hainan Jinhai Pulp & Paper Industry Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of indonesian Asia Pulp & Paper, which operates the world's largest pulp mill on the island and is in the process of building another which will have capacity for one million tonnes of paper production per year
once in production from May this year.
One of the first shipments for this project was a 200 tonne press which was moved through the port of Bremen by two pontoon-cranes working in tandem (see pictures) and loaded onto a heavy lift vessel operated by Beluga Shipping for shipment to China.
