January 4 - French company, B & B International, is working with Chile's Tecniproject to deliver equipment for a cableway project in Oruro, Bolivia.
The consignment comprises 850 m of bespoke cable, as well as 100 containers of equipment and a variety of out-of-gauge cargo, including large pulleys and reels.
The cargo is moving through the French port of Fos-sur-Mer and Italy's Genoa port to the Chilean port of Arica, before being transported to the site in Oruro, where the cableway is being constructed to link the Bolivian city with the top of a mountain some 3,700 metres in altitude.
With shipments expected to come to an end by February 2016, the project should be completed in time for the Carnival of Oruro.
Both companies are members of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for their respective countries.
