January 19 - Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics (WWL) has entered into an agreement with partner company Groupe CAT to acquire its 50 percent share in the two parties' CAT-WWL joint venture network of ten vehicle-processing facilities in South Africa.
With full ownership in CAT-WWL, WWL says that it becomes one of the top independent providers of vehicle-processing services to support automotive manufacturers in South Africa.
In 2015, WWL serviced more than 6.3 million cars as well as and heavy machinery at its 62 vehicle and equipment processing facilities around the globe.
Completion of the transaction is subject to approval by competition authorities in South Africa.
