July 6 - Project Cargo Network (PCN) member Fortune International Transport is to coordinate the transportation of a 15-tonne marble statue from the Italian port of La Spezia to the port of Tianjin, China and from there, to its final destination in Beijin
The statue by Anna Chromy was carved from Italian marble from the Carrara cave and named 'Angel of Sunshine'.
The finished statue stands at almost 7 m in height but has been lain down, secured on a flat rack container and inserted into a reinforced cage for loading on the ocean vessel and shipment to the port of Tianjin. It will then be transported by road to Beijing where it is to be installed later this year.
