December 2 - UK-based Woodland Global has completed the shipment of three condenser units, working on behalf of Italian manufacturer Lu-ve and its client, Core Air Conditioning of Ireland.
The units, each weighing around three tonnes and measuring 8 m in length, were loaded onto specialist low-loaders at the client's factory in Milan, from where they were transported by road to Rotterdam.
They were shipped by ferry to Dublin, via Immingham and Liverpool, and delivered on schedule to the customer's location near Dublin city centre.
"There was no room for error on this job," explained Paul Cimelli, Woodland Global's commercial manager, road.
"The units had to arrive together, despite being loaded on different days, and the cargo itself is extremely fragile. Needless to say, the move went without a hitch - much to the satisfaction of the client."
Woodland says it is establishing an strong reputation for its project and abnormal load handling capabilities, having worked for client Lu-ve for many years.
