November 19 - World Logistics Consulting (WLC) has coordinated the delivery of a 178-tonne transformer by rail from the Port of Houston, Texas to Grafton, Ohio.
The main body of the transformer was shipped from South Korea to the Port of Houston, where it was loaded directly onto a railcar and transported to a rail siding in Grafton.
On arrival, it was loaded on a heavy-duty Goldhofer trailer before being hauled to a second rail siding and loaded back on board a railcar for final delivery to the Carlisle substation.
At the substation, the unit was unloaded onto its installation pad using a jack and slide system.
