November 9 - Winning Logistics, part of the Singapore-based Winning International Group, has purchased two Konecranes Gottwald Model 8 floating cranes.
The machines, which will primarily be used for transloading bauxite from river barges onto oceangoing vessels off the coast of Guinea, feature a maximum lifting capacity of 100 tonnes.
According to Konecranes, this allows Winning Logistics to lift project cargo such as heavy machinery.
Built for the open sea, the Gottwald Model 8 floating cranes are designed in accordance with the Lloyd's Register Code for lifting appliances in a marine environment. They are able to operate at wind speeds up to 24 m/s and maximum wave heights of 2.5 m.
With the additional machines, Winning Logistics' fleet will consist of six Konecranes Gottwald floating cranes.
