December 8 - WindPower Innovations, Inc., a wind energy company, has finalised an agreement to open its first full service heavy lift WindPower Innovations facility, for providing a range of services for the wind turbines in the State of Oregon.
With encouragement and assistance from the State of Oregon's Business Development Officer, Dennie Houle, and the City of Astoria Mayor, Willis L. Van Dusen, in support of their efforts to enhance alternative energy job creation,WindPower Innovations, Inc., in association with A.F. Dick Manufacturing, Inc., will immediately be able to participate in a segment of the Wind Energy market serving the massive one to five megawatt turbines.
"This is intended to be one of several strategic locations throughout the US, the next most likely being in the Texas/New Mexico region, and will give us the ability to fulfill high volume contracts, with equipment of any size," saysJohn Myers, CEO of WindPower Innovations." The Oregon site was chosen because of its central location, as well as the area's rail and deep water port access, which will provide national and international access to and from our facility."
