June 12 - Wagenborg Towage has bareboat chartered a new Damen tug boat, which it has named Waterland.
Waterland, which has a bollard pull of 71 tonnes, was built at the Damen shipyard in Hardinxveld in 2013. The boat has the dimensions 32.25 m x 11.6 m x 5.25 m.
The tug is equipped with two Caterpillar engines and has a total capacity of 5,072 hp.
Wagenborg says that the new tug is its largest, with a gross tonnage of 600 tonnes. Waterland will mainly be deployed for sea towing transport and projects with heavy cargo deck pontoons, said the company.
