January 21 - Volga-Dnepr has delivered 40 tonnes of video broadcasting equipment to Sochi which will be used to broadcast the opening ceremony of the 22nd Winter Olympic Games in the new Fischt Olympic stadium.
The airline carried the equipment - which included display stations, projectors, power supplies and supporting equipment - from Vatry, France to Russia on board one of its IL-76TD-90VD freighters.
The flight was conducted on behalf of French logistics company and part of the ECS Group, Efis Air.
To date, Volga-Dnepr has operated a total of 18 cargo flights in support of the Winter Olympics in Sochi, including the delivery of tunnel-boring equipment, telecommunications equipment, transformers, and mobile gas turbine power plants.
