May 19 - Estonian crane rental company Viking Cranes has purchased two Liebherr crawler cranes - a 300-tonne capacity LR 1300 with super lift equipment, and a 160-tonne capacity LR 1160 crane.
The LR 1300 model will be delivered with super lift equipment and counterweight carrier, and will be equipped with a main boom of 86 m and a luffing jib of 41 m. It will first be put to work at the Estonian port of Paldiski.
Viking Cranes will use the LR 1160 crawler at an iron ore mine in Kiruna in the north of Sweden. The crane has a 58 m main boom and a 44 m luffing jib.
Both cranes will be delivered to the Tallinn-based company by the middle of June 2015.
