November 5 - General Electric Power and Water's senior global logistics leader, Vikash Patel, has left the company to form Logisticus Projects Group.
Under the umbrella of the Logisticus Group, Patel brings a global logistics and transportation skill set gained after years of rail and trucking logistics experience with GE, Ryder and Norfolk Southern.
During his tenure at GE, Patel created the strategy to execute the largest transportation move in North American history, which included over 20,000 super-load category shipments via road, rail and barge. It was by far the largest execution ever attempted and successfully executed in US heavy haul history, claims Patel.
Joining forces with Logisticus Risk Management and three other former GE employees with experience in logistics, safety, government relations and quality control, Logisticus Group is dedicated to providing customers with quality, service and value in all facets of logistics execution.
In addition, the company has invested in technological tools that provide consistent execution and real-time customer notification and reporting.
According to Patel, "We are dedicated to delivering our promise on every customer contract. The company is founded on the belief that the customer deserves a strategic logistics partner that understands the industry, but is willing to take the time to listen to their needs.
Logisticus Group is looking to bridge the gaps in the current 3PL model."
