February 27 - Vasco Gallega Group (VGG), the Spanish member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC), has arranged the transport of 54 complete windmills from Vigo, Spain to Ethiopia, through Djibouti.
The operation, conducted in partnership with the Ethiopian branch of fellow WWPC member, Steder Group, has seenVGC provide inland transport, export customs clearance, heavy lift handling of units, loading, ocean transport, unloading, and inland transport to the final destination.
According to Xoán M. Reboredo, VGG executive director: "this operation proves VGC's capacity as an international logistics operator and it is an example of the business possibilities that the WWPC offers."
As the WWPC's Spanish representative, VGC says it has the necessary infrastructure to handle all types of international projects that are managed by members of this project forwarder network.
VGG has offices in Spain, Portugal, Angola, Brazil and China; and is highly specialised in project cargoes.
