April 14 - Van der Vlist has added 3,000 sq m of secure outdoor storage adjacent to its office in Hull, UK.
Located close to a number of ports on the River Humber, Van der Vlist says the area can be used for mobile machinery manufacturers and importers to consolidate their orders and deliveries. Simple pre-delivery inspection works can also be carried out on site, said Van der Vlist.
Van der Vlist hopes to serve the region's emerging energy and transportation industries. HLPFI reported in December 2016 that Siemens had completed the first wind turbine blade built at its new facility located on the Port of Hull's Alexandra Dock. During October 2016, Dong Energy revealed plans to develop a offshore wind operations and maintenance hub downriver at Grimsby.
