June 10 - Van der Vlist has transported a 15 m long generator from Germany to a sugar factory in Bury St Edmunds, UK.
The 50-tonne unit, which measured 3.1 m wide by 3.85 m high, was transported by road on a two-axle bridge trailer with supports to distribute the load, explained Van der Vlist.
With combined transport dimensions of 35.75 m x 3.2 m x 4.5 m, Van der Vlist's office in the UK organised BE16 special order permits and escorts for the oversize delivery.
Van der Vlist also completed the delivery of a Komatsu HD785 rigid dump truck from the Netherlands to France.
Weighing a total of 80 tonnes, the machine was transported in parts to a quarry in France. The biggest components weighed in at 22 tonnes, with lengths of 8.5 m and widths of 5.6 m.
