April 30 - Van der Vlist teamed up with Zwaar Transport Twente to deliver a biomass system - which is used to generate energy from vegetables - from Bieldeld in Germany to Perpignan in southern France.
The machine was moved in six pieces, the largest of which measured over 13 m in length, 4.5 m wide and was 3.65 m high.
The three heaviest items, which tipped the scales at 45 tonnes, required special permits for transport in France; modular trailers were used to accommodate the size and weight.
The three smaller items were moved on semi-low trailers. The six trucks delivered the units to two separate locations on-time, having negotiated a low bridge in France en route.
