August 10 - Van der Vlist has transported a 100-tonne pressure drum from its Moerdijk terminal to Shell's nearby site via a coating facility.
The drum, which measured 34.8 m x 5.4 m x 5.7 m, was first loaded onto a 14-axle modular trailer and transported to the quay, where it was lifted onto a pontoon for shipment to the coating facility.
Once coating was complete, the drum was shipped back to the Moerdijk terminal and lifted back onto the 14-axle trailer for transport by road to the Shell site.
Van der Vlist explained that Shell required a new pressure drum after a chemical reaction at its facility last year caused an explosion in part of the plant.
