February 26 - Van der Vlist has helped deliver equipment for a new car tyre manufacturing facility in Ulyanovsk in southwest Russia.
Having been shipped from Japan on flatrack containers, Van der Vlist transported the equipment, some of which measured up to 3.75 m x 2.72 m x 1.69 m, from the port of St Petersburg to the construction site in Ulyanovsk using six trucks.
A 50-tonne mobile crane was used to unload the flatracks and lift the units, each of which weighed around 8 tonnes, onto the three-axle low loaders.
Despite experiencing some icy and snowy weather, with temperatures as low of -30 degrees Celsius, the cargo arrived successfully in Ulyanovsk after the 1,600 km road journey.
