December 12 - Tuscor Lloyds has shipped a steam generator and three compressors from Felixstowe, UK to Durban, South Africa.
The steam generator, which was the largest and heaviest piece, weighed 14 tonnes and had the dimensions 6 m x 2.4 m x 2.8 m. The smaller compressors weighed seven tonnes each and had the dimensions 4.3 m x 2.4 m x 2.4 m.
Tuscor Lloyds loaded the steam generator and compressors onto two 40 ft flat rack containers, securing the cargo with heavy duty ratchet straps and wooden chocks, before the flat racks were lifted onto trucks and transported by road to the port of Felixstowe.
At the port, the cargo was lifted on to a vessel to be shipped to Durban, where the equipment was unloaded and transported to the job site.
