April 2 - Tuscor Lloyds has shipped three excavators as out-of-gauge cargo from Antwerp, Belgium to Korsakov in Russia for a mining company.
Tuscor Lloyds assisted the exporter in reviewing various methods of shipping and it was decided that in the interest of speed a container carrier was the most suitable method of transport, since the shipper would have the ability to track the vessel and make alternative arrangements if there were any unforeseen delays.
The cargo was carried to Russia on three 40 ft flat rack containers.
