November 14 - Höegh Autoliners' pure car and truck carrier (PCTC) Höegh Traveller has made its maiden call at the Port of Southampton in the UK.

Built in China, Höegh Traveller is the fifth of six post-Panamax New Horizon vessels that are being delivered to Höegh Autoliners this year.

The ships have a deck space of 71,400 sq m and carrying capacity of 8,500 ceu, with the ability to load cargoes measuring up to 6.5 m high and 12 m wide. Units weighing up to 375 tonnes can be loaded over the stern ramp while cargoes weighing up to 22 tonnes can be lifted over the side ramp.

Höegh Traveller called at the Port of Southampton from Asia on its maiden voyage, loading cargo for the voyage back to East Asia via Africa and Oceania.
