September 21 - Today sees that start of Trans Caribbean Line Ltd (TCL)'s new service from Northwest Europe to the Caribbean.
The service offers sailings with multi-purpose vessels every 17 days from Rotterdam and Harwich to Bridgetown (Barbados), Point Lisas (Trinidad), Paramaribo (Suriname) and Georgetown (Guyana).
The vessels are equipped with cranes to handle containers, breakbulk, ro-ro and project cargoes. The first sailing will be with the MS Wesertor.
The stevedoring company is Broekman DistriPort BV located in the Brittanniehaven, Rotterdam Botlek. Agent is Trans Caribbean Agencies (Netherlands) BV.
