Brake, Cuxhaven, Emden, Nordenham and Papenburg all reported double-digit growth rates.
The port of Brake reports strong growth in project cargo, primarily components of the wind energy industry and theport of Emden also reported and increase in wind energy components, up 7 percent to 80,118 tonnes compared to 74,932 tonnes in the first half of 2010.
In all the seaports of Lower Saxony in the first half of 2011 approximately 22,156 tonnes of cargo were handles which represents a decrease of three percent over the same period last year (22,958 tonnes).
