October 29 - Tradelossa has transported a 160-tonne transformer from Tijuana to a wind farm located in Baja California, Mexico.
The transportation of this cargo was particularly challenging, as it had to be delivered to the top of a mountain where the wind farm is being built, explained Tradelossa.
The transformer, which had the dimensions 8.9 m x 3.7 m x 4.6 m, was transported to the site in five days, which included the reconfiguration of the trailer from highway to off-road transit.
On arrival at the site, a jack and slide system was used to move the transformer approximately 12 m into position for a successful installation.
