June 28 - Novorossiysk Port Terminal, in Russia's main port on the Black Sea, has recently played host to two significant high and heavy movements.
A member of the WCA Projects Network (WCAPN), Novorossiysk Port Terminal was recently tasked with handling a consignment of 326 units of oversized equipment totalling 293 tonnes to Vinogradniy in the Temruksky area of the Krasnodar region in Russia. Exceptional planning and hands-on supervision of the load was required because of restrictions on manoeuvring and along the route of the consignment.
In a second movement, the company saw the delivery of 13 oversized modules in just 48 hours. The cranes had been fabricated in Suzhou, China and then transported to Shanghai Terminal before loading on the Hong Prosperity for the sea voyage to Novorossiysk. The total weight of the equipment was 391 tonnes.
