October 7 - Tiong Woon Corporation Holding Ltd (Tiong Woon) has inked a contract for heavy lifting and installation works with leading global engineering company JGC Corporation at a Singapore refinery project related to an oil major.
The deal was clinched through Tiong Woon's wholly-owned subsidiary, Tiong Woon Project & Contracting Pte Ltd. The scope of work includes equipment heavy lifting, installation of static and rotary equipment, furnace installation, internal trays, catalyst loading and refractory works. Work on the project is scheduled to start before the end of the year.
TWC is an integrated services provider for the oil and gas and petrochemicals industries and specialises in heavy lift and installation of process equipment. Mr Ang Kah Hong, chairman and managing director, Tiong Woon Corporation said: "We're delighted for the opportunity to partner with such a highly reputable engineering company as JGC."
Japan-based JGC Corporation is a leading global engineering company offering services from basic planning to design, materials and equipment procurement, construction, and commissioning for various plant and facilities. JGC, through its subsidiaries, manufactures and sells catalysers and chemical products, according to news reports.
