June 23 - Steder Group of Rotterdam, a long-standing member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC), recently executed a project consisting of large modules for a complete Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG).
With an extremely tight delivery schedule, the oversized and heavy cargo was loaded in Kuantan, Malaysia on a last in / first out basis to Leixoes, Portugal, utilising Beluga Shipping's vessel, Beluga Efficiency.
The total shipment volume was 1700 tonnes, with the heaviest pieces being two modules each weighing 160 tonnes, plus two more weighing 115 tonnes.
All cargo was safely loaded and is now on the way to Leixoes, Portugal where the components will be used for a power plant, belonging to a refinery in nearby Leca da Palmera.
