March 7 - The tenth and final ship in Thorco Shipping's newbuilding programme, Thorco Lohas, has been launched by Honda Heavy Industries in Japan.
HLPFI reported in November 2015 that the ninth newbuilding, Thorco Logic, had been launched.
Both Thorco Logic and Thorco Lohas are somewhat different from the rest of the shipping line's L-class ships, as they have installed special energy saving devices (ESD), explained the Danish shipping line.
The vessels each have a deadweight of 16,954 tonnes and are equipped with two 50-tonne capacity cranes.
