February 11 - Terberg DTS (UK) has established its specialist trailer business as a stand-alone division within the company.
Terberg says that the new specialist trailer division will encourage growth in commercial areas where the company is not currently active, such as the wind and nuclear energy sectors, as well as the waste and recycling industry.
"In 2015, we had a record year for our specialist trailer sales. It made sense for us to create this as a stand-alone division for what is now a recognised and successful product group within our overall company portfolio," said Terberg managing director Alisdair Couper.
Within the new division, Terberg will be making use of its existing relationships with German trailer manufacturer Seacom and Finland's TTS Liftec, which designs and manufactures self-loading cassette systems for ports and heavy industries.
The launch of the new division sees the return of Bob Holt to Terberg as specialist trailer sales manager, with responsibility for the UK and Irish markets.
Seacom Trailer System's range of products includes industrial trailers, roll trailers, cargo trailers, goosenecks and lift trailers with capacities of up to 350 tonnes.
